EU intends to take fingerprints of people entering and leaving Europe

The European Commission intends tomorrow to make a proposal to take fingerprints from all travelers entering and leaving Europe. If this initiative is approved, a huge database of fingerprints of people will soon appear in Europe, which it can share with other countries to maintain global security.

“This is the only way to identify people,” the European official said on condition of anonymity. “Using biometric data is much easier to track people and find out who arrived and who leaves, including potential terrorists.”

A similar system has already been approved in the US and Japan.
