In the European Union, total industrial production increased during May by 0.1% after a decline of 0.8% in April. However, compared to the level of May last year, it decreased by 15.9%, according to the statistical office of the European Union.
The maximum growth of industrial production among 27 EU countries was observed in May in Lithuania (+ 7.3%), Germany (+ 3.7%), Slovenia (+ 2.9%) and France (+ 2.6%).
The largest reduction in production was observed in Latvia (-4%), Spain (-2.9%), Sweden (-2.6%) and Finland (-2.2%).
