OSCE adopted resolution on restoration of sovereignty of Ukraine
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly adopted the resolution proposed by the Ukrainian delegation on “Restoring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.” The Russian Federation categorically opposed the adoption of this resolution, but the document was adopted.
Then the head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Petr Tolstoy, proposed voting in general against the adoption of the entire Minsk Declaration. By a majority of votes, his proposal was rejected.
In the resolution “Restoring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the OSCE PA declares” full respect for the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its borders recognized by the international community, which include the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. “
Also in the document, the OSCE PA declares “condemning the temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation and the continuing hybrid aggression of Russia against Ukraine in the Donbas.”
In a resolution, the OSCE PA “urges the Russian Federation to stop sponsoring terrorist activities in Ukraine through the influx of militants, money and weapons through a section of the Ukrainian-Russian state border not controlled by the government and to stop providing any support to illegal armed groups in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, which commit terrorist acts in Ukraine. “
The document calls on the Russian Federation “to ensure the withdrawal of its armed forces, military equipment and mercenaries from the territory of certain regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine under the supervision of the OSCE, as well as the disarmament of all illegal armed groups.”
The Russian Federation categorically opposed the adoption of this resolution.
This resolution will be included in the final Minsk Declaration.
New OSCE resolutions on Russian aggression and occupation of Ukrainian territories. What is characteristic, this time Russia was not supported even by its closest ally – Belarus.

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly today adopted in Minsk a declaration containing a section on the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Russia was called on to abandon the temporary occupation of Crimea and to stop sponsoring terrorist activities in Ukraine due to the influx of militants, money and weapons through a section of the Russian-Ukrainian state border not controlled by the Ukrainian government, and to stop providing any support to illegal armed groups in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, who carry out terrorist acts in Ukraine.
Trump tweeted that sanctions were not discussed at the meeting with Putin. Nothing will be done before solving the Ukrainian and Syrian problems:
“Sanctions were not discussed at my meeting with President Putin. Nothing will be done until the Ukrainian & Syrian problems are solved!”
Rejoicing at the way Trump extends his hand to Putin, the Russians are gradually stretching out their legs.
