Putin bought a castle in France

The outgoing president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, acquired a castle near the French Saint-Tropez, in Gassin; redecoration there was supposed to be completed by spring, says columnist of the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph Celia Walden, whose heading is called “Spy.”

“The building is located in a secluded place – on the peninsula, it is obscured by pine trees, there are two swimming pools – indoor and outdoor, as well as from 20 to 30 rooms. Locals nicknamed it” Putin’s house in the style of “Playboy’s den” – and this is probably closer to reality, what they think, “writes Walden.

“According to my intelligence data, the future Prime Minister of Russia, who, as you know, is very proud of his athletic figure, will now have the opportunity to enjoy his own reflection upon awakening,” she says. According to her, the house, which was purchased as a VIP client known at the beginning of the year, a team of fifty people is restoring.

“The house is still far from ready,” a British newspaper source says, “but the builders are already starting to finish. The other day they laughed because they had just installed mirrors on the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. They were trying to find out if it was Putin’s bedroom, but they’ve gotten like water in their mouths! “

Rumors of foreign mansions of Putin and Medvedev appear regularly

The press is periodically filled with rumors of castles and mansions acquired by Putin and recorded on some dummies. Recently, for obvious reasons, journalists have become interested in Medvedev: for example, the Montenegrin press claimed that Medvedev (then a presidential candidate) acquired real estate in the country for $ 5 million.

The most respected Montenegrin newspaper Vijesti claims that Dmitry Medvedev is behind the Russian company Euroland, which acquired two real estate properties on the coast of Boka Kotorska Bay. Euroland last year bought a 2500-square-meter plot from the famous Serbian football player Mateja Kezman in the center of Herceg Novi, next to the city port and Shkver marina, and in the summer became the owner of a boarding house with its own sandy beach in the village of Nivitsa, also on the coast of the Hercegnovsky Bay.

As for Putin’s real estate, the press also attributed two major investments to him – though, in different countries, in Germany and Italy. Italian La Nuova Sardegna wrote that two years ago, Putin himself bought the property in Porto Cervo (Sardinia), having paid for a villa of 1200 square meters. meters about 10 million euros, but he designed the villa not in his own name. The newspaper still has not refused its statement and continues to repeat this as a fact. At the same time, market representatives say that they failed to verify these allegations.

In Germany, according to the local tabloid Bild, representatives of the Kremlin and Cologne investment company Findus allegedly agreed to purchase a luxury villa in the German resort town of Heiligendamm on the Baltic Sea.

Heiligendamm is the oldest seaside resort in Germany. It was founded in 1793 at the suggestion of a Rostock doctor, Professor Samuel Vogel, the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin Friedrich Franz I and quickly turned into a fashionable resort for the upper classes of society.
